Rahul Gandhi in Hibernation One Day and Hyperactive the Next: Prakash Javadekar on The Townhall
On The Townhall, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar takes questions from top editors and young students. "Everything that was scam in UPA , we have converted into a success story," he said giving "achche din ke sabot (proof)". On Rahul Gandhi's suit-boot jibe, Mr Javadekar returned fire saying he wouldn't comment on a person who was in hibernation one day and hyperactive the next. On a charge that Environment Ministry is now merely a clearance ministry, he said, "I have not diluted an environment norm. TSR Subramanian committee has given its recommendations, they are not government decisions". He said, "no tribal right has been compromised,' and that "now all industries are coming to me (to say) don’t make it more and more stringent."
