Will more teeth to NCW curb crimes against women?
Women and Child Development Ministry has prepared a list of amendments to the National Commission for Women Act to give more powers to the statutory body. If the draft proposal is accepted, the NCW will have the sanctity of a civil court and if someone who chooses not to appear before NCW, can be arrested or fined.
