In this episode of Walk The Talk, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh speaks about the drought situation of our nation at present and says that he took up the position when the situation was at its worst. According to him, the current government has successfully built a contingency plan and won it. Now the government is fully prepared for drought situations, he says, adding the relief to farmers has been hiked one and half times. Showing his concern for the rate at which farmers are committing suicide, he also says farmers should learn to earn profit from their produce and technology is in place to help them. Mr Singh says he also believes that killing animals only reduces a farmer's source to farming and as a result suicide cases will rise.
