Agra:
Ten members of a family were burnt to death after their two-storey house in Agra caught fire early on Saturday morning, police have said.
The fire reportedly broke out at the house in Sewla Jat area under Sadar police station at around 2 am, when the entire family was asleep. Among the dead are two couples and six children.
Investigations are on to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. Some eyewitnesses have said they heard a gas cylinder burst around the time of the incident.
"We are trying to bring out the bodies by breaking the wall. So far, we have recovered five bodies. The reasons for the fire will now be investigated," said Arun Prakash, ADM city Agra.
