Agra: Ex-army captain held for murder

Agra: A retired Army captain, who lost the local grampradhan polls, allegedly shot dead one person and seriously injured two others on Tuesday after suspecting them for his defeat, police said in Agra.

Brijendra Singh went to the house of one of his supporters, Ashok (45) and shot at him and two others in Ujrai village, they said, adding that Ashok died on the spot.

The two others are said to be in a serious condition.

The retired Army captain had lost the polls by just 12 votes and suspected the victims for his defeat, they said.
