Agra: Three persons were killed and six others injured in an accident when a hay-laden tractor trolley overturned after hitting a roadways bus when a truck rammed into it on Agra-Jaipur highway near Fatehpur Sikri in Agra, police said today.
The accident took place last night when a tractor trolley carrying hay, after being hit by a truck coming from Bharatpur, overturned and rammed into a stationary roadways bus at Sikri turn with passengers alighting from it, they said.
The deceased, two labourers and a man waiting for the bus, and several others got trapped under the tractor-trolley in the collision.
The three died by the time they were pulled out while the six persons who got injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said, adding driver of the roadways bus Nand Kumar has been arrested for negligent parking.
