A video has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Agra showing two men in a motorcycle harassing a woman in full public view.
Many on social media have condemned the brazen criminal action. The Agra Police said they have filed a case and arrested the two men.
"Taking immediate cognisance of the viral video of stalking and harassing a girl riding a scooty, the anti-Romeo team immediately filed a case and arrested the two accused and recovered the motorcycle," the Agra Police said in a post on X.
The two men were seen on a bike on the right, while there were three men on a bike on the left who were known to the woman and trying to help her, the police said.
The incident happened at night. The woman was seen riding in the middle of the road, while the two men were tailgating her. One of the men who came to help indicated to the woman with a hand gesture to slow down.
The men on the other bike followed her for several kilometres.
The woman managed to find a traffic policeman, who stopped the motorcycle and took her out of harm's way.
