Ahmedabad: Cops nab thieves who stole luxury cars

Ahmedabad: Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Thursday arrested four suspects and busted an inter-state gang allegedly involved in theft of luxurious cars. The police also seized five such cars worth Rs33 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, the DCB arrested Wasim Shaikh and Salmankhan Pathan, both resident of UP, Riyazuddin Qureshi, a resident of Vadodara and Irfankhan Yahyakhan, a resident of Mumbai.

The DCB nabbed the four near Danilimda while they were on the lookout for a customer for the stolen vehicles. The DCB also seized a Grey Tavera, two Pajeros, a Verna and a Bolero.

Four of these vehicles were found at deserted places. The police source said that the total value of the seized vehicles was Rs33 lakh. "DCB sources said that the police are also hunting for possible clients of the gang in the city.
