Ahmedabad: Four persons were on Wednesday killed when their speeding vehicle dashed into a stationery tanker near Tokarada village on Limbdi highway in Surendranagar district, police said.
"A speeding utility vehicle this morning collided with a stationery tanker, killing four persons. The deceased have been identified as Kanti Dayal, Ashok Dayal, Kana Chandulal and Sanjay," a police official said.
However, a 13-year-old boy travelling in the car escaped unhurt.
The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and has been admitted to hospital, they said.
The victims were travelling from Rajkot to Ahmedabad.
The tanker had met with an accident on Tuesday night and was parked along the roadside, police said.
A case has been registered and investigations are on.
