Ahmedabad:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here today to take part in the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s annual convocation.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will share the stage with the PM at the convocation ceremony of the top business school which is celebrating its golden jubilee year.
IIM-A had invited the Prime Minister to be the chief guest at the ceremony and the invitation was accepted by him.
Singh will be the third Prime Minister to preside over the IIM-A's convocation function after Indira Gandhi in 1968 and PV Narasimha Rao in 1993.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit ISRO facilities located on the Satellite Road here and interact with scientists.
Some Gujarat Congress leaders are slated to meet him during the visit.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister's visit, police officials said.
