Ahmedabad:
Three people were injured after part of a three-storey building collapsed in Ahmedabad's Ranip area today.
The building, Rupal Apartment, crashed at around 11 am. A 60-year-old woman and two labourers were removed from the building and rushed to the hospital.
"There was some construction activity on the third floor which we believe has resulted in the balcony caving in,'' said fire officer M P Mistry. Two more rooms beneath the balcony also collapsed.
The site has been cleared of all debris, and a probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the collapse.
