Ahmedabad:
A 30-year-old pregnant woman died after she was hit by a car at Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad today, police said.
The victim, identified as Jassi Rathod, was sitting with her son on footpath when she was hit by the car driven by Pragnesh Patel (23) near Rameshwar crossroads, said Meghaninagar Police Inspector D A Desai.
The victim died on the spot, police said, adding that the accused, who was driving without a license, has been arrested and booked.
On February 25, one Vismay Shah had allegedly rammed his BMW into two persons on a motorcycle at the Judges Bungalow area, flinging them off the two-wheeler.
While Shivam Dave (25), who was riding the bike, died on the spot, his friend Rahul Patel, a pillion rider, succumbed to his injuries later at a private hospital.
