No fund shortage to hold 'Mahakumbh' in Allahabad: UP govt
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday promised that there would be no dearth of funds in organising Mahakumbh in Allahabad early next year.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan informed the state Assembly that this time the administration was making efforts to make as many permanent structures as possible at the Mahakumbh ground.

He said a new experiment was being made to install stainless steel water tanks instead of sub-standard concrete structures.

On the adjournment notice given by the Congress on pollution in the Ganga and the Yamuna, Khan said there was no doubt that massive funds had been allocated for making these rivers clean and regretted that had the money been properly utilised, things would have been different.
