Amritsar: A sixteen-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by two persons, after they kidnapped her, in Chhertha locality in Amritsar, police said on Sunday.
The victim was kidnapped on Saturday evening by the accused, identified Harkush Singh and Joban, who live in the same locality where she resided, they said.
They took her to an isolated place where they raped her repeatedly throughout the night, police said.
After she was freed, she narrated the incident to her parents who took her to police. She was medically examined and an FIR was lodged against the two for raping her. Both remain to be arrested.
The parents have also complained that they were being threatened by the accused who were mounting pressure on them to withdraw the case, police said.
