Amritsar: Punjab police on Wednesday seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including AK-47 assault rifles and explosive materials, from a border village on the outskirts of the Amritsar city.
"Two AK-47 assault rifles, 250 cartridges and 1.75 kg of RDX were seized from a field in the border village of Sarain Amant Khan, about 35 km away from Amritsar city, following a tip-off" said DIG Punjab Police Ram Singh.
No arrests have been made so far in this connection, he said.
