Amritsar: Smuggler arrested with heroin worth Rs 20 crore

Amritsar: Punjab Police today arrested an alleged drug smuggler and seized four kilogrammes of heroin worth Rs 20 crore and a Pakistani SIM card from him.

Mohinder Pal Singh, a resident of Indo-Pak border village Dookey was arrested when he was intercepted by the police on the outskirts of Amritsar city, Police Commissioner Jatinder Singh Aullak said.

During frisking a Pakistani SIM card, motorcycle and four kilogramme heroin worth Rs 20 crore was recovered from his possession, Aullak said.

The Police Commissioner said that seized drug and SIM was smuggled from Pakistan by the accused who has contacts with other Pakistani counterparts.
