Amritsar:
In a brazen act, a man along with his two accomplices allegedly fired gun shots outside the house of a girl in Amritsar after she refused to marry him.
Gourvjit Singh, the prime accused, and his two accomplices Jastin and Sunny had allegedly fired in the air three days back, Assistant Sub-Inspector Harinder Singh said.
A criminal complaint was registered today and an FIR lodged against the three.
Neither the girl, who is a student of Class XII, nor her family liked the boy and she had turned down his marriage proposal, the officer said.
The three are still at large, police said.
A family member accused Gourvjit of teasing the girl for the past one year when she went to school. They decided to discontinue her studies there and started private tuitions at home when the police allegedly delayed registering a complaint.
