Amritsar: A large number of people, including leaders cutting across party lines, on Friday paid tribute to slain ASI Ravinderpal Singh at the occasion of 'Bhog' ceremony in Rampura village in Amritsar.
Singh was shot dead on December 5 while resisting harassment of his daughter.

After offering condolences on behalf of Government of Punjab, state minister Bikram Singh Majithia handed over the appointment letter for the post of Naib Tehsildar to the daughter of the deceased police officer.
Majithia re-assured the aggrieved family of support from the state government.
