Amritsar:
Punjab police is yet to file a chargesheet in the murder of an Assistant Sub Inspector in Amritsar over a month ago, with officials saying it may take some more time as investigations are still on.
"Chargesheet is yet to be submitted before the court as the investigations are still under progress. It may take one more week or so," Police Commissioner Ram Singh said today.
He further said no deadline could be given for the filing of charge sheet.
An alleged Akali Dal leader Ranjit Singh Rana and five others have been arrested for killing ASI Ravinder Pal Singh on December 5.
Singh was killed in full public view for resisting harassment of his daughter by the accused.
