Hyderabad: 25 cases of swine flu were reported in various corporate hospitals in Andhra Pradesh,after which the state government has put the health authorities on alert.
"Some of the cases tested positive for swine flu," health authorities told Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at areview meeting.
The Chief Minister's Office said in a release that the health authorities were directed to be on a high alert toprevent spurt in swine flu cases by initiating precautionary measures.
The Chief Minister directed the Principal Secretary (Health) to constantly monitor the situation and keep requiredtesting equipment and medicines ready, the release added.
