Hyderabad:
President Pranab Mukherjee has appointed former Andhra Pradesh Governor C Rangarajan as the Chancellor of University of Hyderabad.
Mr Mukherjee, the Visitor of the university, appointed Mr Rangarajan for a term of three years, according to a release from Madras School of Economics (MSE).
A former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India governor, Mr Rangarajan is currently serving as Chairman of the MSE and President of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
He was also the head of the Prime Minster's Economic Advisory Council.
