Hyderabad: Four passengers complained to the train ticket examiner at Vijaywada and five passengers complained at Secunderabad this morning.
Some passengers say the gang may have had upto a dozen people.
It is still unclear how many Government Railway Police of Railway Protection Force personnel were on the train.
A gang of dacoits attacked and looted the passengers of Secunderabad-bound Charminar Express between Ongole and Chirala in Southern Andhra Pradesh last night.
The train was stopped twice by pulling the chain. The dacoits managed to stop the train twice by pulling the 'emergency stop' chain. The incident happened between 11 pm and midnight on Saturday.
The gang pulled out gold ornaments of passengers next to the windows, from outside the train.
