A 8-year-old girl with disability was allegedly sexually assaulted by a sweeper in Vizianagaram district of coastal Andhra Pradesh on Monday
Locals who caught the man red-handed with the child beat him up and then handed him over to the police on Monday evening.
The man has been identified as Krishna.
A woman who was among those who caught and thrashed the man said she had seen the sweeper take the child into his room two to three times earlier.
