Hyderabad:
Temperatures are expected to fall further in the state over the next few days before rising post- Christmas, the Indian Meteorological Department forecast on Thursday. The state capital recorded 13 degrees Celsius early Thursday. The reading may fall a bit until Christmas before getting a bit warmer from December 26.
The Indian Meteorological Department's assistant meteorologist at Hyderabad, R V Subba Rao said Adilabad has been the coldest place this winter, recording a season's low of 7 degrees Celsius on December 21.
The readings may fall further in that town in the next few days. The state's hotspot Ramagundam is going through its winter extreme with a mercury level of 9 degrees Celsius forecast for Friday.
In the capital, this winter has been a bit warmer than last year when the mercury fell to 8.9 degrees C on December 21 last year.
