Hyderabad: A young software engineer died under mysterious circumstances minutes after he had a workout at a gymnasium at Jubilee Hills here on Tuesday. B Raju (26) complained of severe back pain after the workout. He was given a pain-killer which he vomited. He was rushed to the hospital but died on the way.
Police said he might have suffered a cardiac arrest.
Raju, who hailed from Karimnagar, worked at a company at Gacchibowli here and had rented a house along with his friends at Venkatagiri in Yousufguda.
For the past few days he had been exercising at a gymnasium in the same area. Around 7.30 am on Tuesday, Raju went to the gym and returned home after an hour of workout.
"After reaching home, Raju complained of severe back pain and one of his friends gave him a painkiller. Soon Raju started vomiting,'' Jubilee Hills police sub-inspector K Saidulu said. Raju's friends shifted him to a corporate hospital at Jubilee Hills where he was declared dead.
"We suspect Raju might have suffered a heart attack after the workout,'' Saidulu said. Police, however, did not rule out the possibility of reaction of the tablet he took to get relief from the back ache. The actual reason for the death could be ascertained only after the postmortem report came, he said.
