Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy today laid foundation for the proposed building complex of 'Octopus', the commando outfit of the Organisation for Counter Terrorist Operations, the elite force formed by the Andhra Pradesh government to tackle terrorism in the state.
The government allotted land at Boodhan Pochampalli to Police Department for the 'Octopus Building Complex', which is located centrally, surrounded by Central Police Functional Units.
Funds worth Rs 36 crore were being arranged towards the land and Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy today laid foundation stone for the proposed building complex, which is a milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh Police Department, Additional Director General S. A. Huda said in a release tonight.
