With a view to maintain public order and tranquillity, the Hyderabad Police have issued prohibitory orders around the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly/Council building for a week.
Police Commissioner A K Khan, who issued the orders prohibited every kind of assembly or public meeting or procession that has potential to cause disturbance to public peace and safety within a radius of two kms of AP Legislative Assembly/Council building.
The Budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, began last week. The orders issued under necessary provisions of Hyderabad Police Act will be in force till February 25, according to a notification.
Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Special Police and the local police took over the security management of the State Legislative Assembly premises from the Central paramilitary forces, who had been deployed last year.
