Hyderabad: A Qatar Airways flight had to make an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, near here, in the early hours of Friday.
The flight was on its way to Bangalore from Doha. With inclement weather at the Bangalore airport, the flight could not land there.
After alerting the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Bangalore, the crew of the flight diverted it to Hyderabad and made an emergency landing at the RGIA around 5 am, sources said.
According to officials, there were over 240 passengers on board. The airlines authorities made alternative arrangements to ferry passengers to Bangalore.
