Anantapur: Passengers travelling in Rayalaseema, Udyan and Nanded express trains were robbed of their gold and other valuables near Gooty junction in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district.
The trains were stopped for signals near the junction when a gang of around 12 robbers attacked the trains, pelted stones on the coaches and snatched jewelry from passengers by threatening them with knives.
The affected trains are Rayalaseema Express bound for Tirupathi, Nanded Express going to Bangalore and Udyan Express headed for Mumbai.
