Nellore: BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu has denied that his security assaulted a guard at a toll gate.
Mr Sidhu was going from Chennai to Venkatachalam in Nellore district to participate in a function organized by senior BJP leader M Venkaiha Naidu.
A guard at the highway toll gate near Nellore signaled that Mr Sidhu's car should stop. When it didn't, he threw a stick at the car.
When contacted, Mr Sidhu said the guard had attacked the car for no reason. He denied reports that the guard was assaulted.
The local police said no case was registered and the issue was resolved amicably.
