Tirupati:
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena today offered worship at the Lord Venkateswara shrine.
He was accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Pushpa Kumari and son Daham Sirisena.
Chadalavada Krishnamurthy, Chairman, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple, said Sirisena arrived here late last night.
After an overnight halt on the hills, the Sri Lankan President with his family participated in the sacred 'Suprabhatha' recitation ritual conducted in the shrine in the wee hours, he said.
Before he left, Sirisena was presented with a sacred silk cloth of the presiding deity and holy water in a tiny bottle and 'Laddu prasadam.'
It was Sirisena's second visit to the shrine after February 18 last year, he added.
