Steps being taken for timely completion of Polavaram project: AP govt

The Andhra Pradesh government today said it is taking all steps for timely completion of the prestigious Polavaram project.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Rs 2.5 crore bridge constructed on West Yeluru drain at A P Thriyam in Pedapudi Mandal in East Godavari district, Major Irrigation Minister P Sudharshan Reddy  said the government is also studying matters legally on all aspects.

"The works of the proposed bridge in Pedapudi will complete within a span of seven months. The state government is keenly monitoring the problems connected with calling of tenders and taking all necessary steps to surpass the obstacles," he said, adding it was provide water supply through its gravity without using of any motors up to Visakhapatnam district.
