Hyderabad:
Seeking to corner the ruling Congress and main opposition Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi today said it would insist on passing a resolution in support of separate Telangana in the budget session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly beginning tomorrow.
"Congress and Telugu Desam Party had promised to support separate Telangana demand. We want them to support a resolution. If the two parties don't remain committed to the resolution, we will make the assembly a forum to fight for the demand," Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader in the assembly E Rajender told reporters here.
"Telangana Rashtra Samithi would not accept the Governor's address if it has no mention of that (resolution)," he said.
