Karimnagar: Two persons including a woman were killed today when they were run over by an Express train at Jammikunta railway station near here, the railway police said.
The incident took place this morning when the woman identified as Munukuntla Saroja (45) from Adilabad district came here to invite her physically handicapped brother Duvva Murali (35), for the Mahashivaratri festival to her village Tallapali.
Both were hit by the Grand Trunk Express when they were crossing the tracks to reach the platform, government railway police said.
The duo was killed on the spot. A case been registered, they added.
