At least four people were killed and many injured after a tourist bus overturned and fell into a gorge in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday evening.
There were 18 passengers on board and four people have been seriously injured, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao's office said.
The passengers on board were families who had gone to Araku valley from Hyderabad.
The bus plunged into a 200-foot valley on Visakhapatnam Ghat Road, his office said.
The police arrived at the scene with ambulance vehicles and medical personnel. A brake failure may have caused the accident, reports said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock and grief over the accident. "The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members and speedy recovery of the injured," a statement from his office said.
Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is monitoring the situation, a note from the Telangana Chief Minister office said.
Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan expressed "deep shock and anguish" at the incident.
