Haven't Taken Even a 15-Minute Break, Says PM Modi to Indians in America

New York: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted by an audience of 18,000 people chanting his name as he arrived this evening at Madison Square Garden in New York.

  1. The PM, wearing a saffron-coloured jacket, spoke to the crowd in Hindi, drawing loud cheers when he announced that those with PIO cards (Person of Indian Origin) will get lifetime visas.   9. The PM was shunned for years by the US, which denied him a visa in 2005 for his alleged role in the communal riots that left more than 1,000 people dead in Gujarat in 2002, during his first term as Chief Minister.
