Resignation accepted; Governor asks CM to continue till alternate arrangement made
The Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan today accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and asked him and his Council of Ministers to continue in their offices till alternate arrangements are made.
Mr Chavan met the Governor at Raj Bhavan this morning (9 Nov.) and tendered his resignation as Chief Minister of Maharashtra along with that of all the members of his Council of Ministers.
Mrs. Amita Chavan, Ministers Rajendra Darda, Suresh Shetty, Naseem Khan, Varsha Gaikwad, Chief Secretary JP Dange accompanied the Chief Minister at the meeting with the Governor.
