Chennai:
When Michelle Obama visited Mumbai, her dance with school children provided a dream photo-op.
Hillary Clinton didn't join dancers in Chennai today, but she was very much the star of the show.
The US Secretary of State watched students perform under the famous banyan tree at Chennai's Kalakshetra Foundation, one of India's premier academies for Bharat Natyam.
"It was an amazing display of such artistry and discipline and beauty. Thank you for sharing your talent, your artistry with us," Hillary said after the dance performance.
The students certainly got their Kodak moment.
"It's a very proud and wonderful moment as a dancer in my lifetime," said one of the dancers.
"She also loved the way they used their eyes; she said they were very soulful. I think she was really zeroing in on the details," said Leela Samson, Head, Kalakshetra Foundation.
Being one of the most powerful women in the world comes with its advantages. Ms Clinton was allowed to move around with her shoes on.
