RJD supremo Lalu Prasad was on Tuesday prevented from entering the Bihar Assembly where opposition MLAs were on an indefinite dharna demanding the resignation of the Nitish Kumar government.
Prasad drove straight from the airport to the Assembly and insisted that he be permitted to meet his agitating colleagues in the House.
The security personnel at the main gate, however, said he could not enter and Prasad had to return.
Accusing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of trying to gag the voice of the opposition, he told reporters, "I was CM twice, leader of opposition and MLA four-five times, besides being Railway Minister. I will not forget this humiliation."
