British Prime Minister David Cameron gave a "full and frank" apology on Tuesday after his former media chief Andy Coulson was convicted of phone hacking, saying he had been wrong to hire him.
"It was the wrong decision and I am very clear about that," Cameron said in a recorded statement after Coulson was found guilty of conspiracy to hack phones during his time as editor of the News of the World tabloid.
