The BJP is banking on a combination of young faces and old-timers to seek a third term in the young state of Chhattisgarh. The party has put out its first list after its central election committee met in the capital this evening. Of the 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, the BJP today announced a list of 67, which will have 34 young faces and 20 who are contesting their first election. Six women candidates have also been given tickets in the first list.
