Jithendran to head core committee of 'Thantedam' festival

Thiruvananthapuram: A core committee has been formed with Social Welfare Director V N Jithendran as chairman to hold the ten-day 'Thantedam' (grit) festival against gender discrimination to be held in Kozhikode from March 8.    

The other members of the core committee would be Chalachitra Academy deputy director Beena Paul, Information and Public Relations Department director A Firoz, directors of women's development corporation, social security mission, industries and commerce, culture, health and education, an official release said.

The festival will be held from March 8 to 17.
