Kozhikode : Kerala Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today refuted allegations that the vigilance case against CPI-M veteran V S Achuthanandan and seven others in a land allotment scam was politically motivated.
UDF Government has never resorted to any out of the way method to trap anyone, Radhakrishnan told reporters here.
The allegation that the officer who was probing the case had been changed was not correct, he said, adding, the official who had conducted the preliminary investigation was still continuing the probe.
Radhakrishnan said he had not intervened at any time in the vigilance case relating to land allotment to Achuthanandan's relative T K Soman, an ex-serviceman.
On the Mullaperiyar dam issue, the minister said those who had understood the real situation and anxiety of people in the area will not be able to say that the dam was safe.
