Capital punishment for murdering five

Tiruchirappalli: Describing the act of a 40-year-old man,  who murdered five persons under the influence of ganja as "rarest of a rare case", a Mahila court in Pudukottai district awarded life sentence to him today.    

According to the prosecution Maruthupandian of Melasivapuri near Ponnamaravathi in Pudukottai district without any motive murdered kumari(40), Saroja (65), Manichettiar (76), Alagar (55) and Gopal (76).

All the five had suffered shock and could not defend  themselves as the criminal was agressive, under the influence of Ganja.

Wounds on their bodies proved that they were defenceless. One after the other all the five were beaten till they died.    

The district Mahila Court Judge-in-Charge Murali Sundaram found the accused guilty of deliberately murdering five people under the influence of ganja without any motive and ordered Capital Punishment.
