Erode,May 5 (PTI)A baby crocodile,found in the agricultural
land of a farmer in Perunthaliyur here two days back would
be released in Hogenakkal or Amarvathy crocodile parks,
official sources said here today.
The two and a half ft long crocodile was found in the land
of Govindasamy of Perunthalaiyur on Tuesday. Forest department
officials captured the aquatic reptile with the help of
locals.
It was suspected that crocodile might have reached there
along with the water released from Bhavanisagar reservoir into
a canal for agricultural operations.
