Voters' turnout during re-polling at a polling booth in the Aizawl South-I Assembly seat held on Thursday was 78.71 per cent, state Joint Chief Electoral Officer H Lalengmawia said.
Out of the 1,104 voters in the booth, 869 voters including 479 women voters exercised franchise on Thursday, he said.
Re-poll in polling booth-I of the Republic Veng polling station was ordered by the Election Commission after it was found that there were discrepancies in the number of votes polled.
A polling officer in the booth was also accused of instructing some voters to vote for a particular candidate and the matter was reported to the state election department.
