Lucknow:
Bahujan Samajwadi Party MLA Nawab Qasim Ali Khan has left Mayawati's fold to join the Congress party.
The move comes just ahead of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, which are to begin from February 4.
Congress leader and Union Minister of State Sachin Pilot met Qasim Ali Khan and announced that the former BSP MLA will fight the assembly elections from Rampur on a Congress ticket.
