Kolkata: West Bengal is all green this election, thanks to the victory of Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress. And for CPM, it's a huge setback.
Adding insult to injury is the loss of its heavyweights, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta.
While Mr Bhattacharjee lost by 16,777 votes from Jadavpur constituency, Mr Dasgupta lost by 26,154 votes from Khardaha Assembly seat.
Out of 34 ministers in West Bengal, 26 have lost elections.
