Assembly polls: Key candidates in Puducherry

Pondicherry: Apart from Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the other southern state that votes today is Puducherry where the ruling Congress will have to counter the alliance between rebel Congress leader and former chief minister N Rangasamy's All India NR Congress and AIADMK.

Voting will be carried out in 30 constituencies today where the key candidates are:

Vaithilingam of the Congress
Kamaraj Nagar: Chief Ministerial Candidate backed by the DMK
N Rangaswamy: Of the All India NR Congress
Kadirgamam: Chief Ministerial candidate backed by AIADMK who will contest from Indira Nagar
