Patna: Election Commission should ensure deployment of central forces at all polling booths during the Assembly polls in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Monday.
Kumar told reporters here that the Election Commission should take effective steps for holding free, fair, peaceful and fear-free polls.
He also said that deployment of the central forces should not be left at any person's discretion so that no political party had the chance to complain of any discrimination.
Kumar also demanded that the Commission should ensure that identity cards were made available to all voters on time.
The six-phase poll schedule starting from October 21 was announced earlier in the day.
